One election race I'm very interested in is that for mayor of Deltona.

John Masiarczyk has proven his ability to run a good office while keeping rates low and building a budget surplus. John has devoted a tremendous amount of time building the Veteran's Museum in Deltona, and has shown dedication to making Deltona a better place over many years.

Mr. Santiago, however, was my commissioner in District 2 and demonstrated, I believe, an unrealistic fervor for grandiose plans that would wipe out the surplus and burden the city with obligations for great schemes to build government projects that Deltona may one day be ready for but certainly is not ready for now. One example of his idea of how to improve the city are the small digital "welcome" signs on Howland and Saxon boulevards and at City Hall. They are too small to be readable, and have become a joke and an example of money wasted.
